STARTING POINT PLAYLIST FOR 6/4/12

Today's show started with panelist Roland Martin's pick "All I do is Win" which is the second official single from DJ Khaled’s fourth studio album Victory.

"Starting Point" host Soledad O'Brien's first song "Pieces of Me” was a special pick for her guest Ledisi, who talked about her new book "Better Than Alright." She says it was inspired by her personal journey throughout her musical career.

The second hour started off with a pick from panelist Roland Martin - RUN D.M.C.'s rendition of "Walk This Way" which was originally released by American rock group Aerosmith. During its second revival with the hip-hop group it became an international hit and won a Soul Train Music Award for Best Rap – Single in 1987.

Later on, Will Cain slowed things down with a little Pearl Jam with "Last Kiss" - a song that was first released by Wayne Cochran in 1961.

The show ended on a rockin' note when mixed martial artist and UFC champion Urijah Faber chose "Just a Friend” by rapper Biz Markie. He went on to say this was also his favorite karaoke song.
