You might know her from the 1973 film "The Excorcist" or from the television series "Big Love," but Ellen Burstyn is making a new name for herself with her role in the new political mini-series "Political Animals." In the TV show, Burstyn plays the foul-mouthed, opinionated mother of the Secretary of State, played by Sigourney Weaver.
The Oscar, Tony & Emmy-Winning actress admits the role gave her a "bit of a problem at first" because the constant use of foul language "didn’t feel very lady-like."
Burstyn also talked about the extent of the similarities between the Bill and Hillary Clinton and the characters from her show. Burstyn says "at first I was a little shy about it, because I felt like we were exploiting somebody else's life...but very soon I realize that it was just those immediate details that were similar to Hillary's and after that its so different that you sort of forget about it."
The six episode series premieres Sunday on The USA Network.
