Why on earth would you start talking about taxing Olympic medals? Why is it even a subject? Why would you want to give anyone ideas about doing this? Don't you have more important things to discuss? They gave their sweat, blood and tears, not to mention their lives and all their money just to represent the US in the Olympics and now you want to discuss taxing them for this effort? What a bunch of jerks you are for even bringing up this issue!
Absolutely not! This is the only arena in our wirld today where every people, culture, race and religion can come together and peacefully interact.
These young people are giving the world a reason to celebrate, cheer, find pride in their country and we want to make them PAY for doing so with excellence? It's just one more thing for Government to get their hands on and it is wrong! These athletes have no "hidden agendas" as so many in Washington do, and they did not get us in this deficit.
They bring more hope and encouragement to young children who dare to dream that their gifts and talents matter in a world that is run on greed and corruption. PLEASE let these athletes come home to celebrate with their countrymen with out the thought of taxes hanging over their heads. There are plenty of days in the year left to do that!

Part of this story is false, Medals aren't taxed, it's a right wing talking point, a LIE...
