Legendary Orioles shortstop Cal Ripken Junior held a press conference this morning at Oriole Park at Camden Yards in Baltimore to discuss his mother's bizarre kidnapping and return.
Maryland police say Vi Ripken was mysteriously abducted last week after she was taken from her home at gunpoint and bound. The 74-year-old was then driven around in her own car before being returned nearly 24 hours later.
Police say they've received several tips since releasing security footage showing the alleged kidnapper entering a WalMart. Officials also released a composite police sketch of the subject and have said that they're offering a $2,000 reward for any information leading to an arrest.
Soledad O'Brien had the chance to catch up with Ripken before his press conference this morning.
