Virginia Lieutenant Governor Bill Bolling discusses Romney's numbers in the polls and his possible pick for vice president

This weekend the RNC will kick off a four-day bus tour through four key swing state. Romney is expected to travel through Virginia, North Carolina, Florida and Ohio. Mitt Romney will start in Virginia, and then go through North Carolina, Florida and Ohio. The democrats are launching their own bus tour this morning that will trail Romney’s trip.

The tours come as a new CNN/ORC poll shows president Obama leading Mitt Romney by a full seven points and a new Quinnipiac – CBS news – New York Times poll shows Romney behind by 4 points in Virginia. Romney Campaign Supporter, (R-VA) Lieutenant Governor Bill Bolling says, “Virginia’s a very competitive two-party state but I actually think Governor Romney is doing very well in Virginia.” “You mentioned the Quinnipiac poll last week. If you dig down into that poll a little bit there’s some very encouraging news for Governor Romney. He’s leading among independent voters in Virginia and independent voters are the key to winning.

On the issue of presuming who Romney might choose for a vice president, Bolling says “I think all this guessing about who the vice president is going to be… it’s more profitable to play the craps tables in Las Vegas. I don’t think anybody really… really knows.”
