Regarding shrinking airline seats: As oppose to forcing everyone into smaller seats, why don't they OFFER "slim seats" at a lower airfare and as long as the person can safely fit in the seat without oozing into the other passengers seat, let them choose it. Once while flying from Fairbanks, Alaska, to San Antonio, TX, I was wedged between two large people that were both WELL into my seat space. My only benefit would have been if the jet had taken on a side collision. My body size NEVER causes an intrusion on other passengers comfort or safety. If this offends you, sorry. But this is a serious topic and serious suggestion.
