Soledad, I LOVE YOU... Thank You for being able to get the TRUTH out of AMY this morning. That's where we need to go. Everyone where I work wants to know who "WE" are. "He doesn't love America like we do". WE are those that are: 1. born in America, 2. become Citizens of America, 3. White, 4.Asain, 5. Hispanic, 6. Black, 7.Bi-Racial, 8.Christian, 9.Evangelic, 10. non-Christian, 11.Gay, 12. Lesbian ETC... America is diverse, WE come in many colors, races, beliefs, but some people think and stick to "Small thinking" . Just because a person is not one that does not choose War over Peace doesn't mean that his love is less. The world knows that America has big guns, but I was always taught that you catch more flies with honey than vinegar. We are still paying for the last war we took on that we really should not have been in . When Columbus set foot, the killing and takeovers begin. Let's stop the violence and begin to love our diferences and learn from then. We as Americans are TRULY showing other countries how WE treat Americans of different colors. It appears that "theb WE don't really care about the US".
Soledad – Good show this am. Poor performance by Tea Party leader! Her parroting of misinformation by Fox News pundits belies the Tea Party claim of being independent. Also, one doesn't have to be an economist to understand the nose dive the economy took during the Bush years and the hole that the Obama Administration has been trying to turn around. As one who has voted Republican, Democrat and Independent Party over the years, I am offended by the UnAmerican charges against this President. It is an all time low for politics!
Kirby, I think anyone that has been paying attention is aware of when the economy took the dive. Those that are still insisting otherwise may deserve our pity. They are victims of hype and could probably be led right off a cliff. My though is that President Obama knew the condition of the government when he decided that he wanted the office (he was already inside Washington). I do believe that he had and has noble desires for this country and that no President ever wants to do anything other than a great job. Now, if I purchase a used car knowing it had a broken drive shaft, can I later complain about seller and the broken drive shaft? The car is now mine. Complaining that I bought it with a broken drive shaft is not going to fix it not is it a bad mark against the guy I bought it from. I wanted it and it is now my responsibility to take care of the problem. I do respect any person that leads this country but I also expect them to put aside party issues once they enter the office or President. There has been such great division these past few years and it has been instigated in both parties. The character of an organization is set by its top leadership. Our top leadership (all of them) are not demonstrating unity. If President Obama wins this election, my hope is that he embraces it with the conviction that he must create unity out of the mess that currently exists. I believe he is fully capable of doing so but it has to be one of his top priorities. He's everyones President, not just the Democrats'. Regarding the Tea Party, I don't know a whole lot about them but I'm learning. So far, not impressed.
I was shocked at how ignorant that Tea Party representative was. She did not answer one question intelligently and most of what she spouted was so superficial and illogical. When the gentleman kept pressing her about Romney's 5 million tax cut did anyone else notice how she refused to respond? I was thinking "keep on her until you get an answer" but then they cut to commercial! Tells me she is all for it, I'm sure little does she realize it will not all come from cuts cuts cuts! God save us from the Tea Partiers!
I believe the Government facilitates job growth but I do not believe they create jobs. If I loan my neighbor my hammer and my saw so he can build a fence around his back yard, he is the one who built the fence. All I did was facilitate. Had I not loaned him my tools, he could have gone and purchased his own. He really did not need me. I just made it a little easier and save him a few bucks. Common sense.
SOLEDAD , YOU DID A VERY GOOD JOURNALISTIC JOB WITH CONFRONTING AMY FROM THE TEA PARTY ON , " PRESIDENT OBAMA DOES NOT LOVE AMERICA. " AS A VETERAN , I SALUTE YOU ! ISRAEL
Israel: I totally agree with your comments on Amy Kremer's confrontation with Soledad. But most importantly, Kremer was not prepared to discuss her Tea Party point of view intelligently. CNN should consider having other Tea Party officials on at the DNC, Dustin Stockton and Judson Phillips from TeaParty.net would be much more articulate discussing Tea Party views for the future. Why are they not on CNN?
Soledad, can you have discussion about net job growth vs gross job growth? Also, how exactly does the government create jobs? We hear politicians claiming they created xx# of jobs. I say, whats the real number and who exactly created them. Can you tie in "linked prosperity" into the discussion?
Geez Mark, how about teachers, cops, firefighters, IRS agents, forrestors, border patrol, parks and recreation, court personnel, mail carriers, clean air, clean water, researchers, scientists, food inspectors, the MILITARY...
