Boy Scouts Battle Sex Scandal

The Boy Scouts of America are addressing the accusation of scouting officials’ failure to report hundreds of alleged child molesters.  The Scouts released a report stating children were safer from sex abuse with them rather than at home or school. The report was prepared by a psychiatric expert hired by the Scouts. The story broke when the LA Times looked into the "perversion files,” a blacklist of alleged sexual molesters kept by the organization from 1970 to 1991.
