RNC's Priebus in feisty exchange with Soledad says 'no doubt' Romney is pro-life

In a feisty exchange with Soledad O'Brien, RNC's Reince Priebus addresses questions of Mitt Romney's stance on abortion.

"The fact of the matter is that Mitt Romney has been absolutely, 100% consistent on this issue that he’s pro-life," Priebus says. "That there will be no funding of abortion through Planned Parenthood using taxpayer dollars, that he would use an executive order...so that funding isn't used to pay for abortions abroad."

Soledad pressed him on whether Romney intends to pursue legislation on abortion, and whether his comments to the "Des Moines Register" editorial board is in contradiction to Romney’s official platform.

“Just keep repeating it and repeating it and repeating it...It isn't a contradiction," Priebus says. "They’re talking about specific legislation in Congress. You know what? He is going to have a piece of legislation in his budget that says there isn't going to be taxpayer money used for abortion."

Soledad continued to ask Priebus if that did not constitute legislation on abortion.

Priebus adds, "Soledad, I wish you would be as passionate about taking Barack Obama to task for every one of his promises and for every one of his changes that he didn’t follow through on.”

Soledad reiterated that we do that all the time on “Starting Point.”

Soledad, you did a good job here. Who is that wild eyed right wing blonde who attacked Gov. Crist? Is she a graduate of the Fox Faux News Right Wing Station?

Seriously - Soliedad believes she is the same with Democrats as Republicans?? I'm trying to scour her site – looking for moral outrage at the President and current government having LIED to the American public for a month about Libya. Where is that grilling?? Where are the 15 mins spent arguing that the explanation wasn't good enough?? Why doesn't she have Ambassador Rice on to explain if she actually lied or was simply lied to by the President and State Department??

Someone had to START THE LIE that there was a protest outside the Benghazi Embassy.. since there was none! Who was that? Why isn't the media PASSIONATELY seeking that person out?? Oh wait - this is OBAMA's administration.. we give them EVERY benefit of the DOUBT!! We don't look too close..

Get real - she asks tough questions. She gives the Democrats the benefit of the doubt. She crucifies the Republicans if she doesn't get the answer she wants. She is a hypocrit - like most of the rest of the MAIN STREAM MEDIA..

Funny thing is - if you would actually cover this story as it deserves to be covered. As it would be if GEORGE BUSH were in office.. then the MAIN stream media might be able to dispell their reputation for being LIBERAL and supportive of DEMOCRATS.. better to bury it and hope no one notices before the election.

You can't pin a slick lizard down but good try. For starters, you should have told him that current law prohibits federal funds from being used for abortions and Planned Parenthood definitely does not. The Republicans repeat their lies over and over again but they're still lies.

Also, next time could you ask him how many bills relating to abortion were passed through the House in the last two years. And how many of those bills were sponsored by Paul Ryan, all of which mirror the exact same policy stance as nutcase Akin? Wish the media would get that information out there.
