The November jobs report released this morning. CNN’s Christine Romans and Ali Velshi report the numbers live on “Starting Point”. Forecasters predicted adverse effects of Hurricane Sandy on the jobs numbers, but the Labor Department announcement disproves the estimates.
The unemployment rate fell to 7.7% and 146,000 jobs were added in November.
Velshi and Romans offer their explanations. Diane Swonk, the Senior Managing Director and Chief Economist of Mesirow Financial, also weighs in on the results.
