On this 10th anniversary of the U.S. invasion, deadly proof that Iraq is still at war with itself. Nearly 50 people have been killed and scores more wounded in an outbreak of bombings and shootings. Most of the attacks have been in Baghdad and Shiite areas.
Iraq is a fragile democracy at this point, and CNN's John Berman talked about this with L. Paul Bremer, the American civilian tapped to run Iraq in the early 2003. Ambassador Bremer vividly remembers the day he arrived there, and explains what he think was the biggest success of the invasion.
