Life or Death for Jodi Arias: HLN's Joey Jackson weighs in

HLN's Joey Jackson weighs in on the penalty phase of Jodi Arias' murderer trial that could conclude today. He is on 'Starting Point' talking with John Berman and Zoraida Sambolin about the case. The jury will have to decide if Arias deserves the death penalty or life in prison. Arias herself is set to make a statement to the jury. Jackson discusses if he thinks this statement will help spare her life with the jury.

why don't the jury see and hear everything that is related to the person charged? It would seem more fair to include what is there, all the interviews she has done, the comments she made etc,This is the true Jodie, not what the defence is putting there,if anyone deserves death she does,It is so unfair she has more rights than the person she killed! I watch the trial from Canada

taking Jodi's life is not going to bring Travis back you have to think of the bible when jesus said "father forgive them they know not what they do" he was begging his father to forgive the one's that was taking his very life you have to ask your self wow what kind of love that must be i mean they beat this man with in an inch of his life and he still wanted his father to forgive them look life in prison is far more worse then death with death quick fix never have to think about it again life in prison for the rest of her life she will have to relive that day and see what she did and remember his lifless body i would not want to live and have to relive that for the rest of my life in prison may god bless both families and bring them comfort during this time and help's guide them into making the right choice amen....think w.w.j.d and how would this caring loving man say if he was able to say anything at all...Paula May's Pompano bch fl....

I am satisfied that the jury found Jodi Arias guilty but not surprised by her speech to the jury today. She knows the truth of how and what she did but her mental illness does not allow her to process it in her thinking the way a the normal person does. Should she receive the death penalty...in her mind it will be because of what somebody else did to cause. Sadly, the Alexander family has to wait years for closure on the death of their brother.

I do not feel sorry for Jodi but she will have to wait her turn on death row, which will perhaps be a long time, why waste the telent she has. You have to feed and care for her anyway.\

I think she will pull another stunt! Wont speak or cause another delay after all this is all about Jodi Arrias.

I think something else will happen to delay or eliminate Jodi from her statement. Court will be cancelled again tomorrow.
