The Triple Crown of horse racing is known for it's three jewels...and it's three drinks. This morning we are learning how to make the original drinks for each race.
We've done the Mint Julep for the Kentucky Derby tomorrow, we also talked about the Black-Eyed Susan for the preakness and the Belmont Breeze for the Belmont.

Mint Julep for the Kentucky Derby
Ingredients
1 oz sugar
2 oz Woodford Reserve Whisky
Sprigs of fresh mint
Crushed ice
Black-Eyed Susan for Preakness
Ingredients
3 / 4 oz 42 Below Vodka
1 – 1 /4 oz Early Times Kentucky Whisky
3 oz sweet & sour mix
2 oz orange juice
Garnish with orange slice, cherry & stirrer
Belmont Breeze for Belmont
ingredients
1 1/2 ounces of a good American blended whiskey
3/4 ounces Harveys Bristol Cream Sherry
1/2 ounce of fresh lemon juice
1 ounce of simple syrup
1 1/2 ounces fresh orange juice
1 1/2 ounces cranberry juice
1 ounce 7-Up
1 ounce Club Soda
