Rielle Hunter: Affair with John Edwards was 'adventurous'

In 2008, the National Enquirer exposed the extramarital affair between John Edwards and Rielle Hunter and the child the couple had during their relationship.

Although Edwards eventually came clean, he initially adamantly denied the affair and that he fathered the couple's daughter.

After accusations surfaced about Edwards using campaign money to support Rielle during the 2008 presidential race, Edwards' political career was permanently damaged and his marriage to a then-cancer stricken Elizabeth Edwards was broken.

In her new book, "What Really Happened: John Edwards, Our Daughter, and Me," Rielle Hunter tells her side of the story.

Hunter joins Starting Point this morning to discuss the affair and to respond to the fierce criticism she's received about her decision to write the tell-all book.
