Study: 7 in 10 people are losing confidence in America and its political system

Burson-Marsteller CEO and president Mark Penn is unveiling a new study conducted by Penn Schoen Berlan on American values at the Aspen Ideas Festival this afternoon.

The findings of this study show that the majority of Americans believe that the nation's values have declined during the last 70 years due to political corruption, increased materialism, declining family values and a celebrity- obsessed culture.

The new poll also illustrates that nearly 7 in 10 people are losing confidence in America and its political system.

On Starting Point this morning, Penn explains the study's results and weighs in on how the Supreme Court's health care ruling may influence public opinion.
