Recently it was discovered that Colorado shooter James Holmes had purchased 6,000 rounds of ammo along with various other materials used for making bombs. When asked if there was some sort of system in place to pick up purchases similar to the ones Holmes' had made in recent months, Fmr. FBI agent Steve Moore said, "No." The former agent who has previously worked on mass shooting cases said, there is nothing that says "this guy's buying too much, we better go look at him."
Moore went on to say, the rigged apartment tells him Holmes is intelligent and "spent a long time planning this out."
