Rep. Ruppersberger: Security leaks 'have gotten a lot more aggressive since 9/11'

(CNN) – Mitt Romney accused President Barack Obama and his administration of leaking classified intelligence details for political gain in a major foreign policy speech in Reno Tuesday.

"Whoever provided classified information to the media, seeking political advantage for the administration, must be exposed, dismissed, and punished. The time for stonewalling is over," Romney said at a gathering of the Veterans of Foreign Wars.

Rep. Dutch Ruppersberger is a ranking Democrat in the Intelligence Committee and he joins Starting Point today to respond to Romney's comments.

Rep. Ruppersberger also weighs in on the negative tone of the 2012 presidential campaign and discusses the latest polls that show the race in a dead heat.
