Newark Mayor Booker: Tells people to 'hold on to their seats' for President Obama speech, says platform omission 'unfortunate'

This morning on "Starting Point," Newark Mayor Cory Booker says fmr. President Clinton's speech at the Democratic National Convention was one of the best outside of candidate speeches. He also previews President Obama's speech tonight on the last night of the convention. He tells the "Starting Point" team "hold on to your seats" for when President Obama delivers his speech tonight.

He also addresses the confusion last night over voting on the Democratic party platform. Booker insists that the platform omission of the word "God" and naming Jerusalem as the capitol of Israel as an 'unfortunate' oversight.

Of course, Mr. Booker, would call the omissions an "oversight". He's an obama disciple. These words have been in the Democratic platform before, so this was a deliberate move to take them out, no oversight. It was truly embarrassing to see the "fix" that was in yesterday when they had to back down and put those words back in. Saw a picture of a teleprompter which already had words affirming the voice vote loaded onto it for the Mayor. It was pre-determined that no matter how the delegates voted, the Democrats had to get those words back in for their political benefit. It's unfortunate that the media has not made a bigger deal of this chaos at the Democratic convention. If this were Republicans, it would be the lead story for several days. Oh, that's right, CNN did dwell on the Republican platform for several days, especially the abortion part of it.
