Tough Call: Father-daughter dance canceled because of 'gender discrimination'

Father/daughter dances and mother/son ballgames are now banned in the Cranston, Rhode Island school district after the ACLU declared the events in violation of the state's gender discrimination laws.

The ACLU issued a quote regarding the events, writing, "Public schools have no business fostering the notion that girls prefer to go to formal dances while boys prefer baseball games. This type of gender stereotyping only perpetuates outdated notions of 'girl' and 'boy' activities and is contrary to federal law."

Soledad O'Brien and the Starting Point team weigh in on the school's decision to cancel the events on the show this morning.
