Finding success as the Dog Whisperer, Cesar Millan is picking up the pieces from a downward spiral. After his trusted pitbull, Daddy died, Millan attempted suicide. With a new show “Leader of the Pack” on NAT GEO Wild and a new book “A Short Guide to a Happy Dog,” Millan looks to save the five to seven million dogs that are abandoned per year. He stopped by to chat with Soledad.
Millan says he has adopted a new philosophy, “Exercise discipline- body, mind, and heart,” by observing dogs. He says, “Dogs live in the moment, are not consumed by past mistakes…I got to a point where I felt I have no pack. I felt that I had no worth in life. And, obviously, I became very consumed and very selfish. Then I forgot that I teach people and help people do exercise, have a challenge in life.”
Leader of the Pack airs Saturdays at 10pm on NAT GEO Wild.
