Katie Beers was abducted in 1993 at the age of nine years old, and held for 17 days in an underground bunker by a family friend. She is on Starting Point talking with Zoraida Sambolin about her recovery experience, and her advise for the three women found in Ohio after being missing for nearly a decade.
Beers was “ecstatic” to learn that these three women were found alive after all of these years, and hopes that they take the time to heal and get counseling to help them through the difficult recovery that abducted children face upon returning home. Beers stresses that it will be “difficult for these three women to assimilate back into normal everyday life.” She attributes her foster parents with being an amazing support system for her in the wake of her recovery. Katie is also thankful that her foster parents kept her out of the public eye, and shielded her from the media coverage of her case.
I was shocked watching Zoraida Sambolin this morning, I could not believe what she said about one of the three women. Zoraida spoke with a brother or the son of Michelle, I was very made the comment was that the male told his sister/ mom you are welcome back in our family..Even if this was said don't be saying this on the air. This women has been to hell and back along with the other 2 women. I WILL NEVER WATCH YOUR SHOW, this has made me sick all day. Also the video you aired of the man that help her, its a remake of it singing about a white girl running in the arms of a black man.. It is sickening to watch and hear this is not news any way you look at the video...I now a lot of people out there fill the same way I do..I will be looking for more ways to make this public because I know put Zoraida in them same category as the 911 operator. You should both lose your job...You both make me sick. I have put a block on my tv so no one can watch CNN when Starting Point is on from this day forth...
