Police officer gives bike to teen

Sgt. Natalie Simonick gave 18-year-old Christian Felix a bike, after finding him walking home from his job at a fast food restaurant. Felix had missed the bus, and had to resort to walk nine miles home from work. The pair are on 'Starting Point' talking with John Berman and Christine Romans about how this fateful night and act of good-will has gone viral by attracted the attention of millions.

Simonick describes finding Felix walking home at around 11:00PM one night on a dark desolate street. At first she thought the teen was violating curfew or potentially even a runaway. However, upon offering him a ride home, she learned that Felix did not know how to ride a bike. She was 'shocked' that Felix had never learned to ride a bike. Simonick was so impressed with the teen's work ethic that she decided to give him an extra bike she had at home, and help him learn to ride a bike.

On learning to ride a bike at 18, Felix said the experiencing was initially a little "embarrassing," however by the end he had received much positive encouragement from his friends and instructors.
