I am humbled and empowered by your many emails, tweets, phone calls and postings of support.
My goal was just to let you know I would be gone and why, yet we have started a powerful dialogue that is providing me with so much courage and joy.
My commitment to you is to keep you informed of everything I learn and to continue the dialogue here.
I will be telling more stories and whenever possible posting a little extra something here. Again, many thanks.

Zoraida, It's just astonishing to me how many of us are going thru this. I had a double mastectomy last June. I, hopefully, had my last surgery (#4) just 4 weeks ago (and I had 3D nipple tattooing-remarkable!!). My doctors are rock stars! My family and friends have been fabulous! You have a great support team, too!, (side note: I, too, had paid for the BRACA/BART testing- came back negative, but still glad I opted for the double mastectomy!). My prayers are with you as you continue your journey.
