Miss Universe Canada stripped of title after scoring error – Denise Garrido and Riza Santos weigh in

There has been nothing but confusion and apologies since Saturday night's selection of Canada’s Miss Universe. It seems pageant officials somehow crowned the wrong beauty queen.

This morning, Miss Universe Canada for a day Denise Garrido and the newly named Miss Universe Canada 2013 Riza Santos join “Starting Point” to discuss the mix-up.

I am impressed with both of them, and how they have handled the situation. Grace and poise indeed.. I think Riza will do very well at Miss Universe.

Things like that do happen. Afterall, we are only human and it is humane to err. Anyway, I salute Denise Garrido for her calmness in accepting the mix-up. She took it professionally and regard it as a blessing in disguise. She deserves to be applauded for her behaviour. Just a word of encouragement from the other side of the world to her, "You don't need the crown to be told that you are beautiful. Don't worry, you are equally stunning!"
