I'm happy for the girl who got the lung transplant, but I am concerned about the proceess. As a registered organ donor, I am concerned that those with money to hire a good lawyer, or who have the means or luck to get media attention get to go to the top of the list. If this is the way its going to be, I have to re-evaluate my status as a potential donor. I have to believe that the process is as fair as possible, based on need and survivability, or I am not willing to participate. By the way, I have a cousin (an adult) living in Ohio, who is also waiting for a lung.
She's been waiting for a long time.

That's very nice, and I'm sure we're all happy for her. But let's hear from the person who would have gotten the lung had they not gone to court.
