Flames across Colorado; Micki Trost from CO Office of Emer. Div. of Fire Prevention Control, has the latest

Crews are battling five different fires across the state of Colorado this morning. Some 5,000 people living in an area threatened by the biggest of the fires have been told to leave their homes. That’s near Colorado Springs where the Black Forest Fire is burning right now.

Micki Trost, from the Colorado Office of Emergency Division of Fire Prevention Control, is live from Colorado Springs this morning with the latest developments and what to do if you live in an area prone to these situations. "Have your preparedness kits ready to go so that you can be out of your home for three days up to a week if something like this strikes," she says.

John Kilcullen on the damages after Christmas Day tornadoes hit Midwest

More than 190,000 people were left in the dark after tornadoes ripped through parts of the Midwest on Christmas Day. John Kilcullen, Mobile County Emergency Management Operations Director, joins "Starting Point" Wednesday to discuss the damages in one of the hardest hit areas, Mobile, Alabama.
