Jodi Arias' 18-day testimony ends, Casey Anthony's criminal defense attorney weighs in

Alleged murderer Jodi Arias ended her testimony Thursday in the trial for her life after 18 days on the witness stand. Arias has been accused of killing her ex-boyfriend Travis Alexander, but claims her actions were in self-defense. Criminal defense attorney Jose Baez joins "Starting Point" on Friday to take a look at the latest details in the Jodi Arias Case.

"It's all going to depend on how convincing these mental health experts are going to be," Baez argues. "What a lot of people don't realize is that this is a death penalty case. And the first thing you do in a death penalty case is try to save the client's life. So, that sometimes will conflict with the guilt or innocence stage. At this point, it is about trying to save her life, and nothing more."

Baez, a well-established defense attorney, successfully defended Casey Anthony during her murder trial in 2011. On "Starting Point," Baez argues that photographs from the scene of the crime may be the "smoking gun" in the murder trial.
